Private Bar within a Home

This space is conceived with a clear intention: not as a simple domestic bar, but as a place with its own identity within the home. A shift in rhythm. A small nocturnal pause.

Rather than softening the bold tones already present, the project embraces them as a starting point. The inspiration draws from early 20th-century speakeasies—intimate atmospheres, subdued lighting, and spaces that invite slow conversation. Not as a literal reference, but as a way of translating that feeling into a contemporary villa.

The bar becomes the central element. A cantilevered volume that lifts off the ground and draws focus, combining glazed ceramic, walnut wood, and Alicante Red marble to create depth, warmth, and a strong material presence.

Behind it, a mirrored backdrop expands the space, while backlit marble shelves introduce a light, suspended line where bottles are displayed almost as objects. Light plays a key role, balancing material density and reinforcing the atmosphere.

Velvet curtains wrap the space, filtering the light and enhancing the sense of refuge. Low, focused lighting casts soft shadows, turning the bar into a small stage.

More than a functional room, the result is a scene within the house a space that comes alive at night, inviting gathering, celebration, and a pause in time
